Induction of Stewart Burns

President Sue inducted into Membership of Stewart Burns.

Now retired, Stewart has had a diverse working career; in Architecture, Investment Broking, & Global IT Management. He has also chaired Boards and sub-committees. He has a strong sense of Service to the Community. Stewart is a local JP in Victor Harbor, and was a Bail Justice in Victoria for 21 years. He is active in a number of local area community & charity organisations, and was successfully elected as a Councillor for the City of Victor Harbor in November 2022. Members extended a warm welcome to Stuart and Jacqui and we look forward to their involvement in the Club.

Induction of Susanne Morisset

President Ken and members were pleased to welcome Susanne Morisset to the meeting. She was inducted into membership of the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay. Sue has worked in the field of disability for over 30 years. Sue has been appointed to the Club Service Committee and Alan Kluske will be her mentor. Members extended a warm welcome to Sue and we look forward to her involvement in the Club.

Induction of Stuart Ellis

President Ken and members were pleased to welcome Stuart Ellis to the meeting.
Stuart was inducted into membership of the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay. He was a member of the RC of Adelaide from 2001 to 2012 and the RC of Central Melbourne from 2013 to 2021. Stuart has been involved in many Youth Programs and is currently the District Ambassador for Rotary National Emergency Service Community Awards.
Members extended a warm welcome to Stuart and Jo and we look forward to their involvement in the Club.

Induction of Bob Oliver

President Ken was pleased to welcome Bob and Joan Oliver. Bob joined the Rotary Club of Adelaide West in 1968 and was president in 1973/74. He joined the Rotary Club of Mt Gambier Lakes in 2003 and was president in 2015/16.

Members extended a warm welcome to Bob and Joan and we look forward to their involvement in the Club.

Induction of Jeanette Rich, a past member of several Rotary Clubs.

Jeanette gave us a glimpse into her life before Encounter Bay. She commenced her life at Gawler and after that lived in Prospect, Balaklava, Elizabeth, Canberra, Queensland, Adelaide, Netherlands and Thailand where she taught English. She was married to Ray, has 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren and enjoys playing the piano and table tennis. Jeanette moved to Rosetta in July and is enjoying our lovely South Coast town and especially the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay.

Induction of Cherilyn Fleming, a past member of several Rotary Clubs and a hands-on volunteer within the community. She is already well known to most members through her book sales and charity efforts at Rotary markets.

Induction of Colin Francis, introduced by Ken Carter. Classification of Teaching. Colin is a technical studies teacher. He started teaching in 1976 at Port Lincoln High School and then after short exchange to Oberon N.S.W. he moved to Waikerie High School. He retired with his wife Barb, to Victor Harbor in 2018. He enjoys working on, and using classic cars (especially Minis and Mokes), motor bike riding and camping.

The RCEB is always on the lookout for new members to help it with its humanitarian and community outreach programs. Club members value inputs and skills new members bring and look forward to working closely with them.
